Super Mario Birthday party was a super success! The kids had so much fun and everything turned out perfect. Well, almost perfect. The only set back was the massive wind storm that decided to roll through that day. So we set up the party inside and it ended up looking great in the end. We were still able to enjoy some of the sunny day by playing a few games outside like a Super Mario coin hunt and the Mario pinata. We played Mario Bingo and of course a Mario party wouldn't be complete without mustaches!
We also had treats galore! Yummy chocolate and vanilla cupcakes adorned with yellow stars were a hit! Chex Funfetti cake batter buddies were perfect party favors for the kiddos to take home. The kids were so good and had a blast! Ian was so happy to share his big day with some of his best friends!
So I have a major sweet tooth. I would choose dessert over an actual meal any day! I love all baked goods and there are plenty to enjoy around the holidays. This is one of my favorite cookies that my mom has been making for as long as I can remember. These cookies are amazing. Not only are they cute and so rich but they are sooooo easy to make! They are perfect to give to family, friends, and co workers for Christmas or to make for big holiday parties. Enjoy!
Melt aways
1 cup flour
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
3/4 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla
Cream butter until fluffy. Add dry ingredients. Mix well and add vanilla. Take about 1/2 tsp of dough and roll into ball. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
Frosting
3 oz cream cheese
2 cups confectioners sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Beat well together.
